Responsibilities:

Riverbed Performance Management is seeking a skilled Product Marketing Director with a background in Application Performance Management or other enterprise performance management software for its Cambridge, MA location

 

Product Marketing Director role will help drive the following activities:

 

  • Develop positioning and messaging that resonates with performance operations  target markets and target personas
  • Create core marketing content needed to support go-to-market efforts
  • Drive cross-functional teams in support of product launches and new product introductions
  • Develop and deliver sales enablement to Riverbed field and channel partners
  • Track competitive activities and market developments to support field readiness
  • Evangelize company and product strengths with prospects through multiple channels, events, and seminars
  • Influence and partner in guiding product roadmap and prioritizing feature sets to deliver market leading performance management solutions
  • Help to speed problem resolution so that IT teams across the organizations can move from discovery to analysis to solution as quickly as possible.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 3 but ideally 5+ years’ experience in Product Marketing, preferably in an application management, network management or enterprise performance management oriented industry.
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of networking and enterprise architecture technologies
  • Familiarity with virtualization, cloud, and service oriented architectures
  • Experience in leading complex product launches
  • Experience driving outbound product marketing efforts for a major product line
  • Excellent communication abilities including strong writing and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing the entire go-to-market effort for product line, e.g. messaging and positioning, content marketing, sales support tool development, digital and general demand generation 
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Proven ability to tackle challenging projects with limited timelines and bring to successful completion
  • Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute on business objectives
  • Strong teamwork and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to multitask, change priorities rapidly and work under pressure
  • Reports to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, Performance Management
