About this Position

Title: Inside Sales Representative, Enterprise

Location: San Francisco




  • Conduct research on prospect companies and source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up calls and emails to drive new incremental opportunities and pipeline
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly target metrics
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects and customers within your assigned territory
  • Responsible for expanding Install Bases’ investment in Riverbed
  • Work closely with Channel Partners to identify and close deals
  • Responsible for closing ISR/Partner driven deals with little assistance from the field team
  • Manage inbound leads and outbound “cold calling” to a defined set target prospect accounts
  • Assess and qualify leads received from various sources effectively and make solution recommendations by matching business requirements to award winning solutions
  • Contact prospects and partners through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, and seminars to communicate opportunities to extend initiatives with the Company
  • Ensure prospect handoff to sales, business development, and support are successful, and exceed customer’s satisfaction
  • Create and provide reports and ensure frequent communication on prospect accounts
  • Effectively articulate the value of hardware and software to both technical and non-technical buyers
  • Manage and document the details of the sales cycle in

Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.



  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Sales or or Sales Support role within Telecommunications, Networking or Software/Hardware industry
  • Application Management or related IT specific software/hardware sales experience is a plus
  • Experience with prospecting and growing an ecosystem
  • Experience working with Channel Partners preferred
  • Experience using or similar tool required



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Training, License, Certification Requirements:

  • Completed courses in strategic sales training preferred


Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of the sales process techniques and strategies
