    We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Sales Finance team. The correct person will have the ability to see and link the pieces of the big picture together across the full Sales organization to make our business grow and flourish. Join us on this journey, and help us create the world of the future.     This is a key role supporting our dynamic operational sales organization and our corporate finance function. This hands-on role will report to the VP of Sales Finance and will have frequent interactions with the senior management of the company; supporting and acting quickly based on their business needs and feedback.

     

    Job Requirements:

    • Be able to execute the individual contributor aspects of financial close (accruals, reclasses, etc.), forecasting, and budgeting, while also managing, coaching, and training a financial analyst
    • Collaborate and coordinate with the rest of the Sales Finance organization on financial summaries and executive presentations
    • Act as a trusted financial and business partner for Riverbed’s senior management; drive the daily execution of financial controls
    • Meaningfully compare actual results to historical results, budgets, and forecasts; prepare and report insightful variance analyses to identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data; and use data to influence the decisions of senior leaders
    • Ad hoc projects, modeling, and sensitivity analysis
    • Partner with the Accounting and Revenue teams to understand impact of revenue recognition and deferred revenue 
    • Perform actual vs. budget variance analysis and identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data.

     

    Education & Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of Sales Finance / FP&A experience, prior management experience of 2+ years preferred
    • Attention to detail, integrity, dedication, organizational skills, and ability to meet firm deadlines is a must
    • Experience with prior exposure to Sales organizations strongly desired
    • Prior experience creating financial statements and business unit presentations preferred
    • Working knowledge of GAAP (including accruals, account reconciliations, and capitalization versus expense)
    • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
    • Must have great problem solving skills, be a self-starter, understand business issues and be able to clearly and concisely put together recommendations and implementation plans
    • Strong proficiency with Excel (advanced functions), SFDC, Planning systems (Host, Anaplan, etc), Oracle Financials, OBI
