    About this Position

    The primary responsibility of the Compliance Engineer/Project Manager is in procuring new certifications for new products, maintaining certifications with renewals, component updates, etc., assist factories on certifications, assist Design Engineers and labs on troubleshooting.


    In this role, the ideal candidate will introduce, make recommendations on basic design and make improvements on our products.  This will involve working with the hardware design engineering, marketing and sales teams to support and create marketable products. The Compliance Engineer will also be responsible for creating documentation, and providing expertise and training to manufacturing, sales, Engineering, etc. personnel.


    Required Skills: 

    • Provide Compliance Engineering Project Management and Support for a range of products through all phases of product development and manufacturing.
    • Main product line is system based, servers, data centers, etc. 1U, 2U and 3U servers. Additional support for wifi APs international certification management.
    • Has solid previous experience in working directly with NRTLs such as UL, CQC, etc.
    • Work with test labs and regulatory agencies to prepare and provide all necessary documentation and product submissions
    • Has experience on procuring and maintaining domestic as well as international marks such as UL, FCC, CE, EAC, CCC, KC, BSMI, etc.
    • Has experience certifying CMs for initial factory inspections and audits such as UL, CIG-022, CQC, etc.
    • Can assist CMs in solving variances and non-conformities issued by auditors.
    • Maintain Agency labels up to date with new logos, marks, registration numbers, etc.
    • Remain informed changes in various worldwide regulatory compliance requirements and inform the design teams of any new requirements.
    • Participate in design reviews providing support for compliance.
    • Troubleshoot test failures and recommend design changes to meet compliance requirements.
    • Ensure that compliance meets product launch dates.
    • Provide budgetary estimates for compliance requirements in specific countries.
    • Maintain a compliance matrix which identifies applicable standards and requirements for all countries that we either ship to or would like to ship.
    • Limited amount of hands-on testing and set up at labs of critical components and systems is required.



    • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, preference with a minimum of eight years of compliance engineering experience.
    • Have an understanding of diagnostic, product test, failure analysis, and debug techniques during EMC and Safety testing.
    • Ability to support product and factory certifications.
    • Must be a self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills. Soft, people skills are a must.
    • Must have experience in a variety of international standards and Nationally Recognized Test Labs (NRTLs), including a subset of the following: UL, CE, CSA, FCC, CQC , Demko, etc.
